1) “How I Live Now”

This movie follows an American teen named Daisy who goes to live with her cousins in the English countryside. Young love blossoms and her new life seems to be going well. However, she is eventually forced to fight for her life, her family, and her home in the wake of World War 3.

A man named Leonard, plagued with an incurable and rare form of memory loss (due to a mysterious accident), sets out to get revenge on the man who raped and murdered his wife.

Living with her abusive, drug dealing father and rude family, young Mathilda crosses paths with her neighbor Leon, a professional hitman. After her family is brutally murdered, the unlikely pair team up; a hesitant Leon is eventually convinced and trains the 12-year-old so that she can avenge her family’s death.


4) “Moonrise Kingdom”

In 1965 on a small island near New England, two twelve year olds decide to runaway after to coming to the conclusion that they are in love. Since a storm is expected to strike, the worried (and a bit eccentric) parents form a search party and set off to find the runaways.

A young Mormon girl named Rachel leaves her strict community and sets off for the city after learning she is with child. She ventures off to find the singer of a song she heard on a cassette tape, believing the music impregnated her.


6) “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”

After a harsh break-up, Clementine undergoes a medical procedure that completely frees her of any memory of her ex (Joel). After discovering that Clementine had her memories erased, Joel quickly decides to do the same, but has regrets as he gradually relives each memory before they are taken away.

An aged actor named Bob harris who misses his glory days travels to Japan to shoot a few commercials. There, he meets a troubled newlywed named Charlotte. Amidst the bright and dream-like lights of Tokyo, which provide them with distractions from the conflicts in their lives, the two find solace and quickly form a bond.8) Garden State


9) “Good Will Hunting”

After his true genius is discovered by a college professor, MIT janitor/troublemaker Will Hunting is forced (after a run-in with the police) to put his potential to good use and start seeing a therapist, with whom he forms and unlikely bond.

When teen Juno MacGuff finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, she must find adoptive parents for child and adapt to her situation. The movie follow her humorous, but coming-of-age story as she grows throughout the experience of pregnancy and faces hardships throughout the process.
