March 28th, Saturday, marks the beginning of Knott’s Boysenberry Festival taking place in the theme park’s Ghost Town. Celebrate the park’s berry beginnings with delectable dishes and classic entertainment. There will be tons of delicious foods to sample, games to play, and much more.

The boysenberry, created by Rudolph Boysen , is a delicious combination of raspberry, dewberry, and loganberry. Walter Knott, the founder of Knott’s Berry Farm, was the first to officially cultivate and sell the berry, which quickly rose to fame over the years.

Even if you can’t make it to Knott’s for the festival, try making your own homemade jam or jelly over spring break for fun. There are plenty of recipes online, so pick a flavor and create a sweet celebration of spring.
