Mosquito Fire Has Left Small Business Devastated

The Mosquito Fire was the biggest California fire of 2022, spanning 63,000 acres. It started on September 6th in Placer and El Dorado counties, and after fighting the fire for more than a month, firefighters were able to contain the fire on October 22nd. 

   On April 5th, the U.S Small Business Administration announced that they would be giving out loans to people and small businesses that were affected by the Mosquito Fire. Businesses and private nonprofit organizations will be allowed to collect 2 million dollars for the damages or destroyed property they have.

   Additionally, homeowners will be given $200,000 for whatever happened to their properties or belongings. After waiting 7 months, the people and small businesses that were affected by the fire will finally be given money to be able to fix their properties.
