Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania
The MCU Got a Little Bit Smaller in Their Latest Installment
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is the latest installment in the MCU. The movie released on February 17th and has been received with great reviews from the public, but critics have given it a low score.
The movie begins with Scott (Ant-Man) getting Cassie (Stature) out of jail and discovers that Cassie, Hope (The Wasp), and Hank (Previous Ant-Man) have been making a Quantum satellite. Janet (Previous Wasp) appears extremely concerned and tries turning it off but instead gets them sucked into a micro-universe called the Quantum Realm.
They arrive in the Quantum Realm and discover that Janet is extremely afraid of Kang. His goal is to escape the Quantum Realm and he threatens to kill Cassie if Scott doesn’t do what he asks.
Scott recovers what Kang needed, but he gets betrayed. Scott, Hank, and Hope attack Kang’s empire to save Cassie and prevent Kang from leaving. When Kang loses his ability to escape, he unleashes his full power and demonstrates why he is an Avengers level threat.
Before Scott escapes the Quantum Realm, Kang tries to leave as well. Scott does his best to keep him trapped but receives a brutal beating. It isn’t until Hope arrives that they are able to beat him. This movie provides a great introduction to Kang the Conqueror in the MCU and gives a great opening to Phase 5.
