   The 1984 power ballad “I Want to Know What Love Is,” written by the British-American rock band Foreigner became one of the most popular love song of the 80’s. The song describes his hardship of going through life without love and his longing and opportunity to finally embrace this desire. I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing – Aerosmith 

   Aerosmith is known for their incredible rock songs with the extremely talented mind of Steven Tyler. The song “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” starts off slow and sweet, growing into a rock feel powered by passion. Another classic love song and perfect song to end the 1990’s. 

2000’s 

Love Story – Taylor Swift

   Since she is the queen of love and break-up songs, “Love Story” by Taylor Swift hit the top of the charts when it came to love songs in the 2000’s. This song screams rebellious love, describing a teenage romance with heartbreak and triumph. A beautiful and fun song to sing along to whether you’re in a relationship or not.  

2010’s

Perfect – Ed Sheeran

   “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran took the year 2017 by storm. This beautiful love story of a man falling deeply for a woman just tugs at your heart strings. It’s no mystery why this song is always chosen for the first dance at any wedding. This can definitely be classified as the greatest love song of all time.
