The 2022 Olympic Games are Underway
The 2022 Olympic games are being held February 4th through Febuary 20th in Beijing, China. Every four years, winter athletes from nations across the world come together to compete for the gold medal for their country.
This year, over 2,800 athletes from 91 nations have come together to compete in many different sports including; Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic Combined, Short Track Speed Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboard, and Speed Skating.
The first Winter Olympics were held in 1924 with just over 250 athletes from 16 nations, and 12 of those 16 nations being the only to compete in the Winter Olympics every four years since.
