Winter Sports Assembly
Celebrating All Our Vanguard Athletes.
This year’s Winter Sports assembly started off with an honorable goodbye from Mrs. Katevas. We will miss her deeply. Then our PTSA announced the winner of the spirit week basket: the senior class won! Girls Water Polo then took the stage with a fantastic Pitbull flash mob. Girls Basketball got their head in the game with a fantastic performance that everyone loved. Vanguard Dance Company dominated with a fantastic dance and Girls Soccer had an amazing performance.
We then had an unbearably cute winter formal proposal, by Carissa Frierichs to Zac Brehm. Next, all the team captains gathered on the stage for a spelling bee which everyone enjoyed. Finally, the moment all vanguards have been waiting for, the introduction of this year’s Winter Formal Court: Claudio Castillo,Ryan Hutchins, Chandler Chu, Chloe Adkins, Emmet Humenik, Sydney Robinson, Geneva Doan,Yeilin Rivera, Heather Nguyen, and Shawn Ricker. Best wishes to all the lovely couples! We then ended the assembly like true VANGUARDS, with the El Modena Alma Mater.
These sports assemblies celebrate and recognize all our athletes for their hard work during their season. We are so proud of all our athletes!
