A Romantic Steak Dinner

A+Romantic+Steak+Dinner

   Ingredients:

Steak

Montreal Steak Season

Minced Garlic

¼ Cup of Melted Butter

5 Potatoes

½ tablespoon of Sour Cream

½ Cup of Heavy Cream

Salt and Pepper

   Directions

  1. If you’re feeling extra romance-y, cut the steak into a heart with a sharp knife
  2. Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and marinate the steak for 30 minutes-8 hours.
  3. If your steak is has been refrigerated, leave it to rest outside for 20-30 minutes
  4. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon per pound of steak evenly. Pat it into the steak, don’t rub it

(You don’t need to be too generous because it was already marinated)

  1. If you’re using a grill, heat it to 450°, place it on the grill, and cook it for 2-4 minutes for

         the first side.

  1. When you flip the steak, reduce the heat to 300° and cook it for 4-6 more minutes

 

      Mashed Potatoes

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into small cubes and boil them in a salted pot of water
  2. Boil the potatoes for around 10 minutes
  3. Strain the potatoes and put them into a large bowl with enough space to mash them
  4. Make sure the potatoes are at the same consistency
  5. Add in heavy cream until the potatoes are at the consistency of your liking
  6. Add a tablespoon of sour cream to the taste of your liking)
  7. Add the melted butter
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste

  For a balanced meal, make sure to have a side of vegetables. Depending on your mood, choose between green beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, etc.
