A Romantic Steak Dinner

Ingredients:
Steak
Montreal Steak Season
Minced Garlic
¼ Cup of Melted Butter
5 Potatoes
½ tablespoon of Sour Cream
½ Cup of Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper
Directions
- If you’re feeling extra romance-y, cut the steak into a heart with a sharp knife
- Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and marinate the steak for 30 minutes-8 hours.
- If your steak is has been refrigerated, leave it to rest outside for 20-30 minutes
- Sprinkle 1 teaspoon per pound of steak evenly. Pat it into the steak, don’t rub it
(You don’t need to be too generous because it was already marinated)
- If you’re using a grill, heat it to 450°, place it on the grill, and cook it for 2-4 minutes for
the first side.
- When you flip the steak, reduce the heat to 300° and cook it for 4-6 more minutes
Mashed Potatoes
- Peel and cut potatoes into small cubes and boil them in a salted pot of water
- Boil the potatoes for around 10 minutes
- Strain the potatoes and put them into a large bowl with enough space to mash them
- Make sure the potatoes are at the same consistency
- Add in heavy cream until the potatoes are at the consistency of your liking
- Add a tablespoon of sour cream to the taste of your liking)
- Add the melted butter
- Add salt and pepper to taste
For a balanced meal, make sure to have a side of vegetables. Depending on your mood, choose between green beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, etc.
