If you have been on any sports team in high school, there is a good chance that you have heard of CIF. Most likely your high school team’s main goal is to win and become CIF champions.
CIF is the California Interscholastic Federation in which both public and private schools in California are able to participate. There are many divisions of tournaments in CIF ranging from the best of the best, division one, all the way to division fourteen, not as good skill-wise, but still very much appreciated.
CIF covers almost all sports for both boys and girls such as basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, swim, cross country, and so many more. CIF is also the most well-known tournament amongst high schools on a state level as it pits schools all over California against each other.
