Fall Fun With Treats in The Streets
Get A Head Start on The Halloween Fun
After last year’s uncertainty regarding Halloween events and plans, it’s safe to say that we are beginning to go back to normal. The City of Orange is holding its annual Treats in the Streets Autumn Festival. Familiar to most Orange residents and those in the surrounding area, Treats in the Streets is a staple of the fall season.
The event takes place in Old Towne Orange on Glassell St. and Chapman Ave on Thursday, October 28th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. This is Orange’s 25th annual Treats in the Streets event, a family-friendly event where the businesses of Old Towne pass out candy to trick or treaters who pass by their doorways.
This year the trick-or-treating will start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. Both adults and children dress up in their costumes and sometimes you even see somebody’s pet in Halloween attire. So, even if trick-or-treating isn’t your thing, feel free to sport your Halloween costume early or maybe reuse last year’s. If you do dress up, please consider that full-face covering costume masks are discouraged.
Don’t worry, Treats in the Streets isn’t all about asking for candy, despite what the name says. Other little events are available for anyone that goes!
Throughout the event, there will be activities for kids, non-profit booths, and community displays. From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be a welcome ceremony, kids’ costume parade, and a light show. Hopefully, you can make it to this exciting fall event!
