Frontline- How long have you run cross country?

Laila Hamidi- “This is my fourth year in cross country.”

FL- What about your favorite thing about your sport?

LH- “I love being with my team and having team bonding activities.” 

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

LH- “My advice is to stick with it every day because it does become easier if you really push yourself in the beginning.”

FL- Who inspires you?

LH- “I would say my coaches inspire me because they are always there every day and pushing us to succeed.” 

 

Wendy Mendoza– Varsity Cross Country Co-Team Captain

Frontline- How long have you run cross country?

Wendy Mendoza- “This is my third year.”

FL- What about your favorite thing about your sport?

WM- “Probably the team. Just getting to spend time with them.” 

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

WM- “It’s hard but you should never quit. Just keep trying basically and push yourself.”

FL- Who inspires you?

WM- “My brother. He is always pushing me to do better.”

 

Vanessa Marcelino– Varsity Cross Country Co-Team Captain

Vanessa Marcelino- “Just one year.”

FL- What about your favorite thing about your sport?

VM- “Just running as a group.” 

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

VM- “Learn how to push yourself”

FL- Who inspires you?

VM- “My mother. She was actually the one who made me start running.”
