Maddie Nguyen– Varsity Tennis Co-Team Captain

Frontline- How long have you played tennis?

Maddie Nguyen- “Since second grade”

FL- What’s the hardest thing about your sport?

MN- “Probably all the running, because you have to a lot of endurance”

FL- What qualities make a good team captain?

MN- “A lot of patience, empathy, and leadership because you have to understand where everyone is coming from because everyone can’t learn the sport that quickly.”

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

MN- “Tennis is super easy. People can pick it up super easy. It’s not too hard and it’s really fun too so I would just say try your best and just join the sport.”

 

Noemi Rivera– Varsity Tennis Co-Team Captain

Frontline- How long have you played tennis?

Noemi Rivera- “For four years.”

FL- What’s the hardest thing about your sport?

NR- “Probably missing a hit and then bringing yourself down.”

FL- What qualities make a good team captain?

NR- “Good sportsmanship definitely, a loud voice, patience, and being an extrovert ”

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

NR- “Be quick on your feet and try not bringing yourself down even if you are a newcomer”

 

Jacqueline Madrid– Varsity Tennis Co-Team Captain

Frontline- How long have you played tennis?

Jaqueline Madrid- “This is my first year.”

FL- What’s the hardest thing about your sport?

JM- “Losing a game and looking bad in front of everyone.”

FL- What qualities make a good team captain?

JM- “Responsibility, sportsmanship, and getting along with the rest of the team.”

FL- What advice do you have for people that may want to play your sport?

JM- “Stay active and always ask your coach if you want to practice more.
