Interviewing Isabel
Frontline: What is your name?
Isabel Martinez: Isabel Martinez
FL: What grade are you in?
IM: I’m a sophomore.
FL: What do you think of El Modena?
IM: It’s a great environment with a great amount of cultural diversity. You can meet many people and it’s really fun!
FL: In your opinion, how does your experience at El Modena differ from middle school?
IM: I would say that high school is so far a lot easier than middle school because we have less classes and it’s less stressful.
FL: Are you interested in joining any clubs this year?
IM: I might be interested in joining P7 because I’m very religious and value my Christian beliefs.
FL: What do you think of the schedule set-up this year?
IM: I personally like it less than last year’s because I feel like I get more homework now.
FL: What are your plans for when you graduate high school?
IM: I would like to attend a four-year university such as BYU or University of Alabama and get a degree in psychology in order to become a psychiatrist.
FL: Who would you say is your biggest role model in life?
IM: My biggest role model is Mrs. Pathak, the graphic design teacher here at El Mo because she’s just so herself and so kind to everybody. She taught me a lot about graphic design and I really appreciate her!
FL: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
IM: I enjoy taking naps… I get a good six-hour nap in a day and that makes me happy.
FL: Finally, name two personal goals that you hope to achieve this year.
IM: I hope to earn all A’s in my classes and read two good books since I don’t read as often as I’d like to.
