Not one, but two freshman Lady Vanguards made Varsity Soccer this 2018-2019 season. Freshman Vas Petrohilos shared her thoughts on making varsity, “I feel kinda cool. I mean, it’s different being with all the older girls, it’s really fun. Playing with the team, we really connect on the field and during practice too. We play hard but it’s also fun, a very different experience to any other team I’ve played on before.”

Freshman Jillian Jaime enjoys the rush of playing with older girls, “It’s super fun, everyone is super welcoming. I have been intimidated, especially playing with girls from other teams, I’ve gotten knocked down a few times but I got right back up and kept playing.” Both girls are planning on playing varsity soccer here at El Mo for all four years.
