Senior basketball player Mikayla Reyes has consistently been a stud for El Modena since her freshman year. She sports #21 on the court, saying, “ I was left with few options, however, 21 does hold some significance because I was born in 2001. I just took out the zeros of my birth year.”

Reyes has been playing basketball for over a decade, but does not intend to pursue it at the collegiate level because she intends to pursue other things. Reyes is thankful for her basketball career during high school. “Basketball has played a major role in my life over these past 4 years and my high school experience at El Modena wouldn’t have been the same without it,” Reyes said.
