Track and Field is a spring sport on campus, with about 174 students on the team and in the program. Girls varsity had a league record of 0-3, jv had a record of 1-2, and frosh/soph had a record of 2-1.

Boys varsity went 3-0 and earned the title of league champs for the second year in a row, jv went 2-1 and were league co-champs, and boys frosh/soph went 2-1, and took second in league.

Senior distance runner Brayden Metoyer, believes that “the season went well for the team. I wasn’t able to PR in my top events, although I did PR in the 400 and 800.”

Senior hurdler, Gwen Wodark, elaborates by saying “This season was probably the most fun out of my three years! Meeting new people and having Coach Daniels for another year was wonderful, although, I wish I did better in hurdles this year.”

Senior long and triple jumper, JP Walker, believed that “season went very good!” Junior thrower Allyson Conner agreed in saying, “personally the season went well for me, as well as the track team as a whole.”

Sophomore Suzanne Hooker explains that next year “track will be a whole new experience because every year new people come and others leave. I am expecting it to be just as great if not better than this season.”
