The Red Cross Club recently had a blood drive on campus. The Red Cross club is run by president Hannah Tjoa, vice president Gabe DeGuzman, and secretary Grace Harm.

Tjoa has been helping the blood drive since freshmen year along with DeGuzman. All three like to help and contribute their time to those that need help. Tjoa sees the blood drive as “a great event that younger people can get involved in both volunteering and donating.”

One unit of blood can save 3 people and in the blood drive 101 units (pint) of blood was donated. With the 101 units of blood from El Modena students are able to help 303 people that are in need of blood.
