  Today, May 30, 2017, was P.A.L.’s first P.A.L. Alliance with the 2017-2018 ASB class. El Modena’s P.A.L. Alliance was inspired by many other school’s P.A.L.-like groups doing similar activities. The goal of P.A.L. Alliance is to help encourage groups on campus to become more closely bonded.

  Today, all of the 2017-18 ASB was excused from class to participate in team building and smile inducing activities, such as three-legged racing, a group scavenger hunt resulting in a 300 piece puzzle, and even a game of musical chairs. While it may not seem to be much, it should be taken into consideration that it truly has helped make a stronger connection between members of next year’s ASB.

  At the beginning of the day, many people were separated into their own little groups, without really breaking away from that. However, as the activities came to a close, many people were noticeably more open, ASB and P.A.L.

  Communication is very important when it comes to both groups, and P.A.L. Alliance opened up new forms of communication that may have been much more difficult had this day not happened. That said, P.A.L. Alliance with ASB was largely a success; everyone who took part learned a lot about themselves and those around them. El Modena can look forward to P.A.L. hosting days like this with other groups as well, as hinted by Mrs. Mull.
