Some would be surprised to find out Mr. Beaman, the teacher responsible for El Mo’s reputable Ceramic class, AP Art History, as well as the soccer team coach, had no idea what his dream job was until after college.

Beaman muddled around for about a year after graduating college until he decided to become a teacher. “If I was going to teach something, what was my favorite subject? Ceramics.”

As Mr. Beaman returned to school at Cal State Fullerton, he fell in love with teaching throughout the process. “I guess I did end up finding my dream job in the end, it just took longer to get it.”

Beaman demonstrates his passion for teaching now with classes such as ceramics and AP Art History, where he is able to share the visual history that goes along with the artwork from some of the most important times in the development of human society.
