Coffee Night
Coffee night is an incredible event that El Modena hosts about twice a year; generally in the Fall and in Winter or Spring. It is a show where students perform and other students watch and support them. The event always has a fun theme to compliment the show. The cafeteria will be hand decorated with Valentine props due to the upcoming coffee night featuring a Valentine’s Day theme. One can perform almost anything for the audience, from singing, to stand up comedy, to juggling.
The crowd can purchase coffee, nachos, cookies, pizza, soda and other food items for a dollar while they watch the show. All funds go to the El Modena choir and help them out a lot. There is an admittance fee, 5 dollars pre-sale and 7 dollars at the door. If you attend one of Mrs. Solis’s classes, like Choir or Guitar, you can go in for free.
For one to participate, they must fill out an audition page, which includes the title of the performance, the type, the length, and so on. There is a mandatory sound check and a performer is limited to one act.
There are confirmed performances at the upcoming show by The Sidewalk Chumps, Kelly Ilaisetamotuu, Quinn Nelson and more.
Coffee night takes place on the tenth of February from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Set up for the show is from 2 PM until 10 PM.
