Premiering November 18th, J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, introduces us to Newt Scamander who travels to the USA in 1926 for the Magical Congress. While there he discovers a very Wizard-phobic America, reminiscent of the Era of the Salem Witch trials.

Newt arrives in New York with his magical, weathered, bigger-on-the-inside suitcase containing a large amount of rare magical beasts, as well as their habitats, that he has accumulated over the years of traveling around the globe. He faces grave some trouble from a “No-Maj,” the American version of a “Muggle.”

When he manages to misplace his suitcase, this No-Maj accidentally allows some of Newt’s magical beasts to escape, which could be very problematic in this anti-wizard America and the wizards currently residing in the country.

After being branded a fugitive, Newt must recover his missing beasts before the tensions between No-Majs and Wizards reaches a boiling point.

Visit your local theater during our week off and burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories in excitement while watching this magical spin off from our favorite wizarding world.
