Sophomore and opposite hitter Caden Perkins gets the opportunity this summer from July 1st-7th to compete with his club volleyball team, Pulse Athletics, in the Junior Olympics in Columbus, Ohio.

Frontline: What will you take from this opportunity?
Caden Perkins: “The chance to be able to travel with my team. My team means a lot to me and it is fun to be able to share an experience with them and play on a higher level than high school.”

What results are you hoping for during this tournament?
CP: “My team and I hope to make it as one of the final clubs to compete for the 16 open title. This is the first time a Pulse Athletics team has gotten an open bid for nationals and I am hoping that my team can prove we are meant to play high level.”

FL: What does this experience as a volleyball player mean to you?
CP: “This experience, as a sophomore, to play in a national tournament as one of the top teams in my age group will shape my career in volleyball from that point on. This tournament is broadcasted nationally and many college coaches come to watch you play. I have gotten interest from some schools, but this experience will allow me the chance to commit to play at the collegiate level.”
