As movies age, we are faced with a dilemma, let them fade into glory and legend? Or bring them back bigger, better, and in eye melting Ultra High Definition? Some say the past should stay in the past, but haven’t you always wondered what E.T. would look like if he wasn’t a puppet?

Movie remakes are usually a very well received concept. Recently, there have been more than a few moves remade, and many more to come. Some of the biggest remakes on people’s minds are “Beauty and the Beast” and “Kong: Skull Island,” both of which came out in the past ten days, and are being highly praised.

This idea of bringing a treasured memory back to life comes with a lot of pressure on the director, because people walk into the movie with preconceived ideas of what it should be like. But, the director is usually one of these people as well. Wanting to make the movie as true to the original as they can. As long as directors wanting to remake classic movies treasure them as much as fans do, everything will be okay.
